Contributors

Are you interested in contributing an article to Gwerddon?  Gwerddon is published  at least twice a year and articles by any researcher creating work of national calibre are welcome.

Gwerddon publishes academic articles across a wide range of subjects in the Arts, Humanities, and Sciences and uses an anonymous appraisal regime.

Gwerddon's editorial guidelines should be followed  (see below) and a decision about whether or not an article is accepted for publication is made following an independent appraisal process.

Articles are accepted on the basis of understanding that they have not already been published through the medium of Welsh. The author is responsible for securing permission to reproduce copyrighted material.

Articles should be sent to gwybodaeth@gwerddon.wales.

If you have any questions, please contact gwybodaeth@gwerddon.cymru.

Appraisers

Are you interested in reading and appraising Gwerddon articles? Before any article is published in Gwerddon, it will be read and appraised by two academics or practitioners who are experts in the field to ensure that Gwerddon maintains the highest research standards, and complies with the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014.

We use an anonymous appraisal method so that the person who has written the article does not know who the appraisers and vice versa are.

Appraisers are asked to complete a Gwerddon Appraisal Form and return it to the Editorial Assistant within a month of receiving the article.

If you would like to be considered as an appraiser for Gwerddon articles, please send a summary of your academic or professional background along with a shortlist of your specialties to gwybodaeth@gwerddon.wales.
